New Feature: Autoresponders

Wed, Oct 22, 2008 ~ (117) ~

Hot on the heels of our User Interface cosmetic surgery last week, we’re pleased to announce a new feature: Autoresponders. Want to send a fully personalised email or sms campaign back to a new subscriber to thank them for their subscription? Want to automatically send them a follow up email a week later? Want to view all tracking information and graphs from these responses just as you would a normal broadcast campaign? No problem at all.

Autoresponders are fully tracked, one-off campaign messages that are sent to your new subscribers as soon as they sign up – or after a delay if desired. They’re easy to set up, and a great way to quickly reward your subscribers and set expectations for future contact. Auto Responders are in your account and ready to use right now, so why not check out our help documentation and improve your subscribers’ experience today?

Do you have any plans to include series autoresponders?

ie more than one message with user-defined delays between them – feed subscribers in one end and they receive the series over a period of time with a user-defined final action (eg add to a newsletter list)?

TBH, I assumed that was what your responders were until I looked in more detail :(

Hi Stewart, thanks for getting in touch. You can indeed set up a sequence of messages with user defined intervals between them – first create your messages in the Responder area of the create section and then you can assign them to a list in the Capture area by clicking the ‘add feature’ icon next to your list and selecting ‘add email responder’.

We don’t currently support automatically moving that user to another list at the end of the sequence but they do remain stored in the autoresponder list so that you can send them your newsletter as well.

If you’d like a hand setting this up please feel free to contact our support team and they’ll gladly show you through the feature.
